A letter from the Environment Minister and the External Relations Minister has been sent to Mr Marc Lefèvre, the President of the Departmental Council of La Manche.
The letter seeks to provide clarity and assurance for fishers from La Manche and the surrounding area with respect to their access to Jersey Waters from 23:00 this evening, as the Brexit Transition Period ends and we move into new arrangements under the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement.
The letter has also been shared with colleagues in other regional/departmental bodies in Normandy and Brittany who have an interest in this matter.
