Visit Jersey, in partnership with The Government of Jersey and the Jersey Hospitality Association, are delighted to announce the launch of the Visit Safe Charter.
Launching today, the Charter provides Jersey’s tourism and hospitality industry with a united approach that reduces the risk from Covid-19 and the present and future impact to the visitor economy. The initiative also gives islanders and visitors confidence that they can enjoy Jersey safely knowing that robust measures and protocols are in place to combat Covid-19.
The charter consists of a series of checklists that work hand in hand with the latest Government of Jersey Guidance and demonstrates, through displaying the Visit Safe logo, that visitors’ safety is the priority. Spot-checks will be taking place to verify adherence.
Local businesses can sign up to the charter via www.gov.je/visitsafe
Senator Lyndon Farnham, Minister for Economic Development, Tourism, Sport and Culture, said:
“I welcome this move. It is very important that the hospitality businesses are providing a safe environment for islanders, visitors and their staff as they gradually open up while we move through the stages of the pandemic.”
