Further Census Bulletins Published

Statistics Jersey have published two further census bulletins from the 2021 census.

A census of the population of Jersey was held on 21 March 2021 and was conducted by Statistics Jersey. The Jersey Census takes place once every decade and gives us the most accurate and up-to-date estimate of the number of people and households in Jersey as well as providing a detailed picture of Jersey today.

Bulletin 2 focuses on households and housing and includes details of: 

  • Dwellings by Parish
  • Vacant properties by Parish
  • Bedrooms and persons per dwelling
  • Overcrowding and under-occupation
  • Property types
  • Household tenure
  • Household structure

Bulletin 3 focuses on health characteristics, based on the responses to new questions asked for the first time in the 2021 census on:

  • Self assessed general health
  • Longstanding physical or mental health conditions or illnesses
  • Activity limiting health conditions or illness
