The Minister for Home Affairs has established a Taskforce on violence against women and girls to drive progress in reducing these crimes and behaviours in Jersey.
The objectives of the Taskforce are to:
- undertake research to better understand the nature, extent, attitudes to, and experiences of violence against women and girls in Jersey
- examine the existing legal framework, service, and support provision in relation to violence against women and girls
- make recommendations on how legislation, services and support could be improved and made more effective in order to reduce violence against women and girls in Jersey
