Our Hospital Project - Local Business Opportunities

Jul 05, 2021

Opportunity for local businesses to be part of Our Hospital project

Local businesses who would like to play a key role in the building of Jersey’s new hospital are being invited to register their interest from today.

ROKFCC JV, a joint venture between local firm ROK Limited and global infrastructure firm FCC Construction, are now inviting expressions of interest from businesses who can provide products and/or services for the design and delivery of the Our Hospital Project.

With construction of the five main buildings, all the extensive external works and access roads anticipated to commence in summer 2022, the compilation of the list of potential supply chain partners, both local and international, launches today with expressions of interest being sought via online registration on the www.ourhospital.je website before 31 July 2021.

Richard de Gruchy, ROKFCC Legacy Director, said: “We would like to hear from businesses, especially those based in Jersey, whose products and/or services can contribute in some way to the construction of the OHP.

“Having worked in, and supported, Jersey’s construction industry for more than 20 years, I believe that our local suppliers and sub-contractors have a broad range of expertise, a depth of experience and the drive to help the Government of Jersey and ROK FCC JV deliver a new hospital for Islanders. I hope to see as many local businesses as possible register their interest with us before 31 July 2021.”

Deputy Hugh Raymond, Deputy Chair of the Our Hospital Political Oversight Group, said: “As our community are well aware, this is a significant project for the Island, which will create significant opportunities for local suppliers and sub-contractors. Their involvement and expertise will be key to the success of this project and I encourage them to register.”
