The first of our Business Confidence Surveys
Issued to all our members at the beginning of March 2013, to gauge how businesses feel at the start of this year about the economy, we received 113 responses.

The findings reported that 61.1% of respondents joined Chamber for Useful Information, 52.6% for Networking and 35.8% for Campaigning / Lobbying.
65.3% of members felt the membership fee is fairly important when deciding to renew their membership, 79.2% felt the cost of membership is reasonable.
If members had an issue they wanted discuss with someone from Chamber 34.7% would contact the President, followed by 28.4% would contact an Executive Team Member.
64.6% of respondents felt that The Executive Team customer service level is good, 20.8% at a very high standard.
From the services provided campaigning & lobbying was ranked first for what respondents felt benefited them the most, followed by networking time / events. 61% of respondents have attended between 1 – 6 events over the last twelve months, and 73.2% attended for the choice of speaker.
20% of respondents reported that they have gained business through the Chamber network.

We plan to run a Members Survey every six months to keep in touch on service levels.
