Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel - Public Hearing

Wednesday 21 February 14:58

Education and Home Affairs Panel to question Minister for Treasury and Resources and Assistant Minister for Education on student finance proposals.

The Education and Home Affairs Scrutiny Panel is due to hold a public hearing with the Minister for Treasury and Resources and Assistant Minister for Education as part of its review of the revised student finance proposals announced last week.

The hearing will take place at 7:00pm on Thursday 1 March at the Pomme D’Or Hotel. The format of the evening will allow for the hearing to take place between 7:00pm and 8:15pm, after which there will be an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions of the Minister and Assistant Minister in relation to the proposals (for no more than 30 minutes).
Deputy Jeremy Maçon, Chairman of the Panel said: “This is an incredibly important issue for many families in the Island and it is the hope of the Panel that holding this hearing in a more accessible venue than the States Building will encourage people to attend and have their views heard.”
