Counsellor Andrew Auerbach, Head of the OECD Global Forum’s Peer Review Unit, will speak at Jersey International Business School’s 2nd Annual International Taxation Conference on 20 February, along with other leading experts in the world of international taxation.
Since 2007, Mr. Auerbach has been at the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration. During that time he has worked extensively on tax transparency issues as Head of the Global Forum’s Peer Review Unit. Currently he is Counsellor in the Director’s Office, responsible for providing strategic advice on the work of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration.
Mr. Auerbach will be presenting on ‘How Jersey is leading the way in International Tax Transparency’, and will be joined by a range of other notable speakers including:
- Mr. Jaap Tilstra, Case Handler – Tax Planning Practices Unit at the European Commission
- Debbie Payne, Tax Director at PwC (Channel Islands)
- Paul Morton, Tax Director at The Office of Tax Simplification
The International Taxation Conference will examine key challenges facing financial services professionals both today and in the future, covering fascinating areas such as how tax policy is likely to develop post-Brexit, HMRC’s investigations into offshore matters, and where global transparency initiatives will go next.
Designed for those with an interest in tax affairs and personal and corporate tax planning, the event will be of particular interest to those working in financial crime prevention, given the focus on tax evasion and tax avoidance.
