Ibex Education is delighted to work with Grant Thornton in order to provide the training required for delivering an ISO 27001 in an organisation. The main drivers are for Internal Auditors, Implementers and Lead Auditors and there are official training courses available at each position. Further information will be available at this briefing so please come along.
ISO 27001 is the world's best known information security standard, with over 33,000 certificates awarded so far and 20% annual growth according to the most recent statistics from ISO, the standard's governing body.
But who knows what ISO 27001 means, except those who have it? If an organisation says it's "ISO 27001 certified", what does that actually tell you? Does a certified organisation operate differently from one that isn't? If so, in what way? Is it something your organisation should be doing? If it is, what do you need to do to become certified?
This Grant Thornton briefing will explain in simple terms what ISO 27001 is, why you might want it, and the steps you need to take in order to achieve it. By the end of the session you will have a grounding in the components that make up ISO 27001, you'll know the answers to all of the above questions and will understand what it's for and how it works. As a result, you will be able to consider whether it's something you should pursue and will be clear on how to take the first steps on the ladder.
The briefing will also include a short talk on the real-life experiences and learnings of an organisation that has recently been through the process and has emerged successfully with an ISO 27001 certificate.
The talk is not technical, and is aimed at anyone concerned with, involved in or responsible for information security within their organisation, including: directors (including NEDs); senior management; compliance officers; risk managers; information security and data protection managers; HR managers; IT managers; and IT security administrators.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an informative and enjoyable event.
The event will be held at:
- The Pomme D'or Hotel, Liberation Square, JE1 3UF
