Chamber Lunch - September 2017

Chamber Lunch - September 2017 : Wednesday 13 September

Guest Speaker: Deputy Steve Luce, Minister, Department of the Environment, States of Jersey

'Planning and Environment: The ultimate compromise?'

It may now be called the Department of the Environment, but the Minister has responsibility for a number of distinct, and occasionally conflicting portfolios.

How does Deputy Steve Luce approach the protection and enhancement of Jersey’s natural and built environment, while also encouraging enterprise, innovation and regeneration, and making it simpler for people to get on with their lives?

What are the Minister’s priorities for some of Jersey’s most pressing future challenges – climate change, environmental protection and a growing population?

The venue for this lunch is the Royal Yacht Hotel and guests should arrive no later than 12.30. Chamber President, Eliot Lincoln, will be delivering his welcome speech at 12.40, followed by lunch.

We will seek to close the event by 14.30.

The menu for this event will be: Slow cooked shank of lamb tagine style, coriander mash, green beans.
