Ministerial Government - Past & future
For the September luncheon Chamber will welcome Chief Minister, Senator Terry Le Sueur as guest speaker.
“A look back at the first five years of ministerial government, how it has changed the way decisions are made and how it can be developed for the future.
We have faced the worst recession in a generation and ministerial government is responding to the challenge by working to secure a successful future for Jersey. We are carefully examining tax and spending and are committed to making savings which will help us to modernise the public sector.
No system is perfect and after five years to bed in, discussions are now underway to develop and improve ministerial government. Our system is still in its infancy and I am confident we can revise our procedures to involve more States Members in the decision-making process which will enable us to work together to lead Jersey into a successful future”.
The venue for this luncheon is the Pomme d’Or Hotel, the price is £25 per person, which includes a one-course lunch menu and coffee with mints. Wine is also included and is kindly sponsored by Dunells.
