Activities have included:
- Review of States commissioned report into the island’s retail sector and detailed input into the ongoing consultation process.
- Appointment of Professor Leigh Sparks (Stirling University) to review the above to provide independent commentary.
- Lobbying of States in relation to planned changes to the Sunday Trading law.
- Ongoing consultation in relation to the proposed Goods and Services Tax.
- Promotion of Christmas trading on behalf of town traders.
- Support and involvement in crime prevention schemes such as ShopWatch.
